Remember that Friends episode where the gang debates the most romantic song ever and Ross thinks it's Van Morrison's "Tupelo Honey"? I agree—like, butterflies upon every listen agree—so I'll admit: I have a soft spot for the sweet stuff. But sentiments aside, it's damn good for your lips.
Since practically the beginning of time, honey has been known for its healing properties due in large part to how naturally moisturizing it is. Swiping a thin coat of it on your chapped lips will make them baby soft in no time. It's also high in antioxidants that help repair daily UV damage.
While it's tempting enough to give the golden honey bear bottle in the fridge a quick squeeze, the raw stuff can get kind of sticky, so instead we look to honey-infused balms and treatments for the daily grind. Just dab a back-of-you-finger-nail's worth of one of these before bed, reapply through the day, and watch the cracks and flakes disappear before your eyes.
